| Produced according to Bordeaux regional standards and aged in French oak. Some fine tannins offer firmness on the palate, with a nice follow-up of fresh oak. there is an earthiness in the aroma with cedar, tobacco, and a hint of mint. The fruit is of ripe black cherries, currant, and cassis with a tease of chocolate on the palate. This wine will develop for several years, and over times will take on plummy, jammy characteristics. This wine is the aristocrat of the red wines, with a dark peppery bouquet. Goes with any meat or game. Ideal with Chesapeake duck. |
