Pale red. Fresh raspberry and wild strawberry on the nose, perked up by white pepper and star anise. Tangy and crisp on the finish, with lingering strawberry and rhubarb qualities and good length.

Patricia Green Etzel Block Pinot Noir 2005

Dark red. Licorice-accented redcurrant and cranberry aromas show a peppery lift. Tightly wound red fruit flavors are slightly hardened by juicy acidity and brisk tannins, with a light touch of black tea on the back. This needs time in bottle to unwind-or at least an hour in a decanter.
Edwin's Comments Thanksgiving 2007: "Wow, this puppy has evolved full circle since the time the above tasting was done. As soon as its poored, big aromas of red cherries and pie hit the nose in intoxicating fashion. A pinot-dogs dream. The mouth feel is full and intense but in the most pretty way of ripe cherries, herbal teas, and a long clean although somewhat minerally finish."

From one of Oregon's top producers comes this beautiful West Coast Chardonnay. Very "Oregon," with it's butter-dredged green apple and sharp up-turn of wonderful acidity on the finish. A great way to take a break from yet another bottle of California Chard and see why Oregon is quickly becoming the best in the West for classic Burgundian varietals Chard and Pinot Noir.

Azura Pinot Gris 2007

Pinot gris is a fortunate mutation of pinot noir. It has ties to Italy, where it's known as pinot grigio and also thrives in the Alsace region of France. This copper-gray -colored grape, when properly grown and vinified, produces a delicious white wine with complex aromas, a pale lustrous color and rich, crisp fruit flavors with an element of spiciness. Pinot gris, like pinot noir, thrives in Willamette and is earning a reputation as one of Oregon's best varietals. Although it can be enjoyed on its own, pinot gris goes well with a variety of foods -- from tarragon chicken to braised pork loin. It's also an ideal accompaniment for many spicy regional dishes from the Southwest, Caribbean, Asia and India.

Beautiful aromas of melons, apricots, raspberries, minerals, white flowers, nectarines, powdered sugar, hints of clove, peaches and lime blossoms. Sweet melons and ripe tangerines dive the mid-palate back to the finish. Very nice length and succulence, finishing clean, long and young.
