Cousino Macul Lota 2004
Our Price: $60.00

"The 2004 Lota is Cousino-Macul’s new entry into the high-end sweepstakes. If this first vintage is any indicator, the winery is off to a great start. This vintage is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot from two vineyard sources. It spent 13 months in new French oak and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Opaque purple-colored, it has a splendid perfume of pain grille, graphite, black currants, and blackberry liqueur. This is followed by a layered, full-bodied wine with gobs of spicy, plummy black fruits, ripe tannins, and excellent delineation. It has 8-10 years of cellaring potential and should drink well through 2030. Kudos to Cousino-Macul for this significant upgrade to their portfolio." 94 points Wine Advocate
Cousino Macul Antiguas Reservas Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Our Price: $17.00

"The deeply colored 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Antiguas Reservas offers toast, spice box, cedar, and black currant scents. This is followed by a spicy, ripe, firm wine with layers of flavor. With very good depth and a long finish, this superb value should evolve for several more years but is hard to resist now. Kudos to Cousino-Macul for this significant upgrade to their portfolio." 90 pts, -Jay Miller, Wine Advocate
Cousino Macul Merlot 2006
Our Price: $11.00

"The 2006 Merlot emits an excellent nose of red currant and raspberry. This is followed by a fruity wine with plenty of flavor balanced by light tannins. It is a very good value. Drink it over the next 1-2 years. Kudos to Cousino-Macul for this significant upgrade to their portfolio.">86 pts, -Jay Miller, Wine Advocate
Cousino Macul Finis Terrae 2004
Our Price: $23.00

"The 2004 Finis Terrae is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. and spent 15 months in 75% new small French oak barrels. Purple-colored, it has an attractive bouquet of pain grille, spice box, cassis, and black cherry. On the palate the wine is a bit firm with some hard tannin in the finish. Several years in the bottle may round this wine out at which point my score will appear conservative.">88 pts, -Jay Miller, Wine Advocate
Cousino Macul Antiguas Chardonnay 2006
Our Price: $15.00

"Many Chilean wineries have difficulty with Chardonnay due to problems integrating oak and fruit components. Cousino Macul seems to have mastered the production of value-priced Chardonnay. The outstanding 2006 Chardonnay Antiguas Reserva has no such problem. Featuring toasty pear, apple, and tropical fruit aromas and flavors, it has excellent depth and concentration, superior balance, and a lengthy, pure finish. It is a great value in well-made Chardonnay competing with wines twice the price.">90 pts, -Jay Miller, Wine Advocate
