Bodegas Muga Reserva Rioja 2004
Our Price:
$32.00
"The 2004 Muga Reserva is dark ruby-colored with an enticing nose of pain grille, pencil lead, crushed stone, and blackberry. This leads to an elegant wine with layers of flavor, several years of aging potential, and a lengthy finish." 93 pts - Jay Miller - The Wine Advocate

Figaro Tinto 2006
Our Price:
$9.00
"The 2005 Figaro Tinto is a 100% Garnacha cuvee which has had a brief stay in oak barrels. It offers attractive aromas of earth, pepper, and black cherry, round, fruity, kirsch-like flavors, a supple round texture and surprising length. It is a superb value which should be drunk over the next 1-2 years. Drink 2007-2009. Imported by Kysela Père et Fils, LTD." - Wine Advocate (issue 169), 88 pts
Finca Allende Rioja 2004
Our Price:
$32.00
"The 2004 Allende, a 100% Tempranillo cuvee, was barrel fermented in a mix of new and used French oak, remained in barrel for 13 months, and was bottled unfiltered. The wine is inky purple-colored and has a superb nose of pain grille, mineral, violets, cranberry, and blueberry. The youthful palate reveals layers of fruit, ripe tannin, and excellent balance. The wine merits another 3-4 years of bottle age and should drink well through 2020. Kudos to Finca Allende for a magnificent set of 2004 Riojas!"
92 pts - Jay Miller - The Wine Advocate
Montebuena Rioja 2006

Brilliant deep ruby red color, fruity aromas .
Montebuena Red has a spicy vanilla bouquet and is smooth and fruity in the mouth with some well-integrated secondary nuances, full-flavored and a persistent pleasant finish.
88pts - International Wine Cellar (July/Aug 2007)
"Dark red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with hints of cracked pepper and dried rose. Crisp and dry on the palate, with spicy redcurrant and cherry flavors, light tannins and a fresh, energetic finish. An excellent value, and surprisingly elegant for this price point."

Finca Torremilanos Monte Castrillo Ribera del Duero Rosado 2007

That's right, Ribera del Duero rose. A big, serious, meaty rose that's perfect for heavier seafood dishes (salmon) and even pork loin off the grill.
Carpio Ribera del Duero Crianza 2002
Our Price:
$16.00
From Spain's other classic wine region (i.e. not Rioja) comes a well-mannered crianza drinking sublimely with a few years of bottle age.
Bodegas Arrocal Ribera Del Duero 2006
Our Price:
$19.00
"After an initial blast of raw oak this Ribera settles nicely to show appealing leather and berry aromas along with savory blackberry and molasses flavors. There’s also ample spice, chocolate and toast to give it a dark personality. Nice for a young wine; it’s flush, lush and quite dense." -Wine Enthusiast, 88 points
"Opaque ruby. Potent mulberry and blueberry aromas expand seductively, picking up baking spice and floral qualities. Suave, silky and impressively pure, with vibrant dark berry flavors saved from the brink of jamminess by bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. Impressively juicy and persistent, with excellent palate saturation and clarity." -Stephen Tanzer, 90 points
